LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch.8

(2)  TO ADOPT A SEAL;

(3)  TO ESTABLISH PROCEDURES FOR LICENSING
APPRENTICES;

(4)  TO KEEP A LIST OF ALL INDIVIDUALS CURRENTLY
LICENSED BY THE BOARD;

(5)  TO INVESTIGATE ANY ALLEGED VIOLATION OF THIS
TITLE; AND

(§) TO ENFORCE THIS TITLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, § 342
— except the first clause of that section — the
third sentence of § 347(b), the second sentence
of § 358, and the first two sentences of § 360.

Item (3) of this section is new language added to
provide expressly what presently is only implied
in the law — that the Board shall establish
procedures for the licensing of apprentices. As
to the use of the term "licensing", see §
6-101(g) of this title and its revisor's note.

In item (4) of this section, standard language
requiring a "list" of the currently licensed
individuals is substituted for the reference to a
"register" to conform with the terminology used
in other titles in this article. Also, in
accordance with current practice, the language is
broadened to indicate that the Board is to keep a
list of all the individuals who are licensed by
the Board, not only morticians.

The provisions in present Art. 43, § 360 that
authorize the Board to "swear out warrants
against an alleged violator thereof, to aid in
the prosecution of an alleged violation..." are
deleted as unnecessary in light of their
inclusion in the broader provisions of items (5)
and (6) of this section and the general power of
any individual to swear out a warrant.

The balance of present Art. 43, § 342 now appears
in § 6-203 of this subtitle.

6-206. ESTABLISHMENT OF FEES; DISPOSITION OF FUNDS.

(A) ESTABLISHMENT OF FEES.

EXCEPT FOR THE FEES SPECIFICALLY SET BY THIS TITLE, THE
BOARD MAY SET REASONABLE FEES FOR ITS SERVICES.

(B) DISPOSITION OF FUNDS.
