(2) REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES UNDER THE
STANDARD STATE TRAVEL REGULATIONS AS PROVIDED IN THE STATE
BUDGET.

(D) STAFF.

(1)  THE BOARD MAY APPOINT A BOARD SECRETARY, WHO
MAY BE A MEMBER OF THE BOARD.

(2)  THE BOARD SECRETARY MAY BE COMPENSATED IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATE BUDGET.

(3)  THE BOARD MAY EMPLOY INSPECTORS AND OTHER
STAFF IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATE BUDGET.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is hew language derived in
part from Art. 43, §§343 and 344.

In subsection (a) of this section, the phrase,
"majority of the full authorized membership of
the Board" is substituted for the phrase
"majority of all the members" to clarify the
number required for a quorum. As to the current
"full authorized membership" of the Board, see §
6-202 of this subtitle.

In subsection (c) of this section, the term
"appointed" is added to clarify that the ex
officio member is not entitled to additional
compensation or reimbursement.

In subsection (d) of this section, the provision
allowing employment of "other staff" and
requiring that compensation for all staff be "in
accordance with' the State budget" is new language
added to conform to the actual practice of the
Board and to corresponding sections in other
titles of this article.

As to subsection (a) of this section, an ex
officio member is a voting member unless
otherwise specified. Therefore, seven members
presently are needed to establish a quorum.

As to subsection (c) of this section. Standard
State Travel Regulations are adopted by the
Department of Personnel with the approval of the
Board of Public Works.

6-205. MISCELLANEOUS POWERS AND DUTIES.

IN ADDITION TO THE POWERS AND DUTIES SET FORTH
ELSEWHERE IN THIS TITLE, THE BOARD HAS THE FOLLOWING POWERS
AND DUTIES:

(1) TO ADOPT BYLAWS, RULES, AND REGULATIONS TO
CARRY OUT THE PROVISIONS OF THIS TITLE;
