(B)  MORAL CHARACTER.

THE APPLICANT SHALL BE OF GOOD MORAL CHARACTER.

(C)  AGE.

THE APPLICANT SHALL BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD.

(D)  EDUCATION.

EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN THIS TITLE, AN
APPLICANT SHALL BE A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE OR HAVE COMPLETED
EQUIVALENT EDUCATION AND HAVE COMPLETED SATISFACTORILY:

(1)  AN ELECTROLOGY EDUCATION PROGRAM THAT IS
APPROVED UNDER THIS TITLE AND THAT INCLUDES:

(I)  AT LEAST 20 HOURS OF INSTRUCTION IN
THE THEORY OF ELECTROLOGY TAUGHT BY A PHYSICIAN; AND

(II)  AT LEAST 80 HOURS OF INSTRUCTION IN
THE CLINICAL PRACTICE OF ELECTROLOGY TAUGHT BY A LICENSED
ELECTROLOGY INSTRUCTOR; OR

(2)  AN ELECTROLOGY EDUCATION PROGRAM IN ANY
OTHER STATE THAT THE BOARD DETERMINES IS SUBSTANTIALLY
EQUIVALENT TO THAT REQUIRED BY ITEM (1) OF THIS SUBSECTION.

(E)  EXAMINATION.

EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN THIS TITLE, THE
APPLICANT SHALL PASS AN EXAMINATION GIVEN BY THE BOARD UNDER
THIS SUBTITLE.

(F)  ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR AN ELECTROLOGY
INSTRUCTOR LICENSE.

IN ADDITION TO THE OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION,
AN APPLICANT FOR AN ELECTROLOGY INSTRUCTOR LICENSE SHALL:

(1)  BE A LICENSED ELECTROLOGIST;

(2)  HAVE PRACTICED ELECTROLOGY ACTIVELY FOR AT
LEAST 5 YEARS IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THE APPLICATION; AND

(3)  PASS THE ELECTROLOGY INSTRUCTOR EXAMINATION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, §
555B-14.

Subsection (d)(2) of this section is new language
added to give the Board authority to evaluate the
out-of-state training of an applicant. If that
training is substantially equivalent to the
