Section 256B(c)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1978 Replacement Volume and 1980 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 41 - Governor - Executive and
Administrative Departments

256B.

(c) (1) "Agency" means any State board, commission,
department or officer authorized by law to make rules or
adjudicate contested cases, except those in the legislative
or judicial branches.

(2) "AGENCY" DOES NOT INCLUDE THE BOARDS OF
LICENSE COMMISSIONERS OF EACH COUNTY, OF BALTIMORE CITY, OR
THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS.

(2) "AGENCY" DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY BOARD OF
LICENSE COMMISSIONERS IN THE STATE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act may
not be construed to affect the status of Boards of License
Commissioners for any purpose other than exclusion from the
State Documents Law.

SECTION 2 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

AN ACT concerning

Anne Arundel County - Alcoholic Beverages (Closings)

FOR the purpose of allowing the holders of certain Class A
and Class H alcoholic beverages licenses in Anne
Arundel County to remain open if no alcohol is sold or
consumed on the premises.
