The balance of present Art. 32, § 5(a) now
appears in §§ 4-205, 4-305, and 4-307 of this
title.

The balance of present Art. 32, § 5(b) now
appears in § 4-306 of this subtitle.

The balance of the first sentence of present Art.
32, § 5(c) now appears in § 4-304 of this
subtitle.

As to subsection (d) of this section, certain
education requirements may be waived. See §
4-303 of this subtitle.

4-303. WAIVER OF QUALIFICATIONS — LICENSE TO PRACTICE
DENTISTRY.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION, THE BOARD
MAY WAIVE THE EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS OF § 4-302 OF THIS
SUBTITLE FOR AN APPLICANT WHO IS A GRADUATE OF ANY SCHOOL OF
DENTISTRY.

(B)  CONDITIONS.

THE BOARD MAY GRANT A WAIVER UNDER THIS SECTION ONLY IF
THE APPLICANT:

(1)  PASSES A SERIES OF PRELIMINARY TESTS GIVEN
BY THE BOARD UNDER ITS RULES AND REGULATIONS TO DETERMINE
THAT THE APPLICANT IS QUALIFIED TO TAKE THE EXAMINATION FOR
A GENERAL LICENSE TO PRACTICE DENTISTRY; AND

(2)  MEETS ANY OTHER REQUIREMENTS THAT THE BOARD
ESTABLISHES FOR A WAIVER OF THE EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS OF §
4-302 OF THIS SUBTITLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 32, § 5(d).

Subsection (b)(2) of this section is new language
added to clarify that the power of the Board to
impose requirements for a waiver under this
section is not limited to giving tests to
determine that an applicant is qualified to take
the examination.

4-304. APPLICATIONS FOR LICENSES.

(A) IN GENERAL.

TO APPLY FOR A LICENSE, AN APPLICANT SHALL:

(1) SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE BOARD ON THE
FORM THAT THE BOARD REQUIRES; AND
