HARRY HUGHES, Governor

1365

20-204. MEETINGS; COMPENSATION; STAFF.

(A)  MEETINGS.

THE BOARD SHALL MEET AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR, AT THE TIMES
AND PLACES THAT IT DETERMINES.

(B)  COMPENSATION.

EACH MEMBER OF THE BOARD IS ENTITLED TO REIMBURSEMENT
FOR EXPENSES UNDER THE STANDARD STATE TRAVEL REGULATIONS, AS
PROVIDED IN THE STATE BUDGET.

(C)  STAFF.

THE BOARD MAY EMPLOY A STAFF IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
STATE BUDGET.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is
derived in part from the fifth sentence of
present Art. 43, § 406A(e)(2), as that sentence
refers to meeting each year. In addition,
standard language is added to this and, where
necessary, corresponding sections of other titles
of this article to allow the Board to determine
the times and places of its meetings.

Subsection (b) of this section is new language
derived without substantive change from the last
sentence of Art. 43, § 406A(e)(2).

Subsection (c) of this section is standard
language added to this and, where necessary,
corresponding sections of other titles of this
article to state expressly what presently is only
implied in the law — i.e., that, if the budget
permits, the Board may employ a staff.

As to subsection (b) of this section, Standard
State Travel Regulations are adopted by the
Department of Personnel with the approval of the
Board of Public Works.

20-205. MISCELLANEOUS POWERS OF BOARD.

IN ADDITION TO THE POWERS SET FORTH ELSEWHERE IN THIS
TITLE, THE BOARD MAY RECOMMEND:

(1) STANDARDS TO THE SECRETARY FOR THE
CLASSIFICATION OF WATERWORKS, WASTEWATER WORKS, AND
INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER WORKS; AND

(2) RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR ADOPTION BY THE
SECRETARY TO CARRY OUT THE PROVISIONS OF THIS TITLE.
