AN ACT concerning
Montgomery County - Alcoholic Beverages Sales
MC 221-81
FOR the purpose of changing the hours that alcoholic
beverages may be sold by certain Montgomery County
liquor licensees on a Sunday preceding certain federal
holidays and on the day following; and clarifying
language.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
Section 102(c)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
102.
[(c) The privileges conferred by a Class B, beer, wine
and liquor license (on-sale - generally) and a Class B-BWL
(H-M) license may be exercised from 9 a.m. on any day to 1
a.m. on the day following. However, on Fridays and
Saturdays, the privileges conferred by such licenses may be
exercised from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. on the following day,
provided that the licensed establishment sells or makes
available food for consumption on the premises during the
time that alcoholic beverages are permitted to be served.
On Sunday, a sale may not be made between the hours of 2
a.m. and 11 a.m.]
(C) THE PRIVILEGES CONFERRED BY A CLASS B, BEER, WINE
AND LIQUOR LICENSE (ON-SALE GENERALLY) AND A CLASS B, BEER,
WINE AND LIQUOR (H-M) LICENSE MAY BE EXERCISED DURING THE
FOLLOWING HOURS, PROVIDED THAT THE LICENSED ESTABLISHMENT
SELLS OR MAKES AVAILABLE FOOD FOR CONSUMPTION ON THE
PREMISES DURING THE HOURS THAT ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE
PERMITTED TO BE SERVED:
