      Joyntly and Severally to keep the peace in our County of Kent afd and
      to keep or Cause to be kept all Laws and orders for the good
      Conversation of the peace and for the Quiet rule and Governmt=
      of the people in and all and every the Artickles of the Same —
      And to Chastize and Punish all prsons offending agt. the form
      of Any those Laws and orders of this our province or any of
      them in Kent County afd As According to the form of those Laws
      And orders Shall be fit to be done. we have Also Constituted and
      Appointed you And every four or more of you of which you the Said
      William Frisby Elias King John Whittington Charles Hynson Thos:
      Ringold and John Salter or one of you Shall allways be one of
      the Comrs to Enquire by the oaths of good and Lawfull men of your
      County of All and All Manner of Sorceries fellonies witchcrafts
      Enchantments Magicke Arts Trespasses forestallings Engrossings
      And Extortions Whatsoever and of all and Singular other misdeeds
      and offences (of which) Excepting Matters relating to titles of Land
      Whomsoever or wheresoever done or perpetrated or which here:
      :after Shall happen to be done or prpetrated in the County afd
      against the Laws and orders of this our province provided. But
      We will not yt you proceed in Any of the Cases afd to take life
      or Member but that in ever Such case you Send the prsoners
      to the next provll Court to be holden for ye. Said province whensoever or
      wheresoever to be holden there to be tryed and further we do hereby
      Authorize and impower you to Issue out writts precepts processe and

      Attachmts: to hold plea of Oyer and Terminer and of all accons ^ agt.
      the form of Any the Laws or Statutes of our Kingdom of England
      or the Sd. Province all Accons of Trespass quare Clausum fregit
      All Accons of debt and detinue Surtrover and replevin for
      any Sum or Sums of money or tobacco goods wares or Merchdizes
      All Accons of Trespass upon the case for mony tobacco goods wares
      or merchandizes or upon noat book or Account and all other Accons prsonall
      Whatsoever of what Nature or kind Soever Titles of Land Allways
      Excepted and foreprized & After Judgment to award Execucon
      in all Causes cevill So to be tryed Excepting as before Excepted Wee do
      Constitute Ordaine & Appoint You The Severall & respective person Afsd
      to be Judges as Afforesaid And therefore Wee Comand You That You ~
      dilligently intend The keeping of The peace Laws & Orders & all &
      Singular other The premisses And on certaine days Appointed according
      to Act of Assembly in That Case made & provided & at such place
      wch you or Any of four or more of you as Afsd. shall in yt
      behalfe Appoint, You make Enquiry of The premisses and prform
      & fullfill the Same in forme Afforesaid doing Therein wt to Justice
      Appertaines According to The Laws & Customes as Affsd And therefore
      Wee Comand Yeou Sheriff of Our Said County by vertue of These prsents
      that at the place And on The days Affsd wch you or any four or
more of you as Affsd shall make knowne unto him yt he give his attendance
      on You & if need require You Cause to come before You or any
      such four or more of You such & so many good & Lawfull
      men of Your County by whome The truth of ye prmisses
