      And for as much as the Justices have received Certaine Instructions
      from his Excellcy the Govr. of this Province for the Proclamation
      of Princess Anne of Denmark to be Queen of England &ca.
      upon the Death of his Late Majesty King Wm. the third of ever
      Blessed Memory,    the Said Princesse Anne of Denmark
      In the Most Solemn Manner this County was Capapable Of &
      As nere as might be to the Instructions recd in his Sd Excys
      proclamation Was Proclaimed Anne Queen of England
      by the Grace of God Queen of England Scotland France
      And Ireland Defender of the faith, Supreme Lady of the Province
      And Plantation of Maryland And all other his late Majty’s
      Territories and Dominions in America &ca. Without Loud accla:
      :mations of Joy, firing the Small Arms three times, and Complying
      With his Excys PrClamacon as afd:
                Afterwards Comes into Court Mr. John Hawkins Now high
      Sherf. of this County And produced the following Comissions vizt

           A Comicon of the Peace for this County which follows in
           these Words vizt.
      Anne by the grace of God of England Scotland France and
      Ireland Queen defender of the faith &ca. to Wm. ffrisby Elias King John
      Whittington Charles Hynson Thomas Ringold John Salter Phillip
      Hopkins Solomon Wright John Wells John Chaires James Smith
      and Michael Miller of Kent County Gentlemen Greeting Know
      yee out of the great trust and Confidence we have in your fidelities
      Circumspections and prudences and wisdom have Constituted ordaind
      And appointed And by these presents do Constitute ordaine and
      Appoint you the Said William Frisby Elias King John Whittington
      Thomas Ringold John Salter Phillip Hopkins Solomon Wright John
      Wells John Chaires James Smith and Michael Miller Comissioners
