	from him unjustlÿ Detaines as p^r Declaⁿ filed in this Court bÿ

     The S^d Def^t neither bÿ himself nor his att^rÿ makes noe Defence neither
     bÿ a plea or otherwise according to y^e rules of this Court but maketh Deflt
     Whereupon Judg^t is Granted to y^e S^d pltf for y^e Debt afs^d & Cost of Suit
           It is therefore Considered here bÿ y^e Court this 28^th Daÿ afs^d that y^e
     pltf recover a^t y^e S^d Def^t as well y^e Sum^e of one thousand fourtÿ & five
     pounds of tob^o y^e Debt afs^d as y^e Sum^e of one hundred ninetÿ & nine pds
     of tob^o Cost of Suit ——

        Saÿeth y^t he had noe Instructions from his S^d Clÿent wherebÿ to make
        anÿ Defence upon w^ch Judg^t is Granted for y^e Debt & Cost of Suit
             It is therefore Considered here bÿ y^e Court y^e Daÿ & year afs^d y^t y^e
        S^d pltf recover a^t y^e S^d Def^t as well y^e Sum^e of

        untill next Court att w^ch S^d next Court to witt this 28^th Daÿ of March anno
        Dñi 1704 Comes y^e S^d pltf bÿ his att^rÿ afs^d and offers himselfe a^t y^e S^d
        Def^t in y^e plea afs^d butt y^e S^d Def^t (although Solemnlÿ Called) cometh
        not bÿ himselfe or his att^rÿ but maketh Default, Whereupon y^e S^d
