   and y^t y^e S^d Thomas Godwin et ux^r adm^r &c^a. Goe thereof w^thout Daÿ, & It is
   likewise Considered here bÿ the Court y^e Daÿ & afs^d That y^e S^d Defts recover
   ag^t the S^d pltf as well y^e Sum^e of fiftÿ pds of tobacco for y^e nonSuit ob=
= tained |according to act of assemblÿ ) as y^e Sum^e of three hundred & fiftÿ
   pds of to tobacco Cost of Suit in this behalfe Laÿd & Expended :

	marke he y^e S^d Edward Did take from him y^e S^d Thom^s
	and y^e Same Caske Converted unto y^e prop^r use of him
	the S^d Edward and other Enormities to him the S^d
	Thomas he y^e S^d Edward Did Doe Contrarÿ to y^e peace
	of our Ladÿ the Queen &c^a and y^e Great Damãge of

     And whereupon y^e S^d Thomas Michael Earle his att^rÿ Complaines & Saÿeth
                                                            Daÿ of June
   that whereas the S^d Edward on y^e fourth^ anno Dni 1701 in Langfords baÿ
   upper hundred in S^d Countÿ w^thin the Jurisdiction of this Court bÿ force &
   Armes y^e afs^d twelve^^titeCasque of y^e prop^r Goods of him the S^d Thomas &
   marked w^th his prop^r mark he y^e S^d Edward Did take from y^e S^d Thomas & y^e
   Same Converted to his proper use & benefitt & Other Enormities unto him
   the S^d Thomas he y^e S^d Edward Did Doe, Contrarÿ to y^e peace of our S^d
   Ladÿ the Queen &c^a and to y^e Great Damãge of him the S^d Thomas who~
   Saÿeth he is the worse and Damãge hath Sustained to y^e vallue of Six
   thousand pounds of tobacco & thereupon he brings this Suit Earle p^r q^r &c^a

ad^s	\| Defends the force & Enjurÿ when &c^a & Saÿeth y^t for y^e
Thomas Cooke	\| manifold insufficiencies and Imperfections in y^e pltfs
	Declaⁿ & y^e matter therein Contained this Def^t Cannot
	nor bÿ the Law of Land is not bound to answer there:
