  the Said James the tenth day of November Anno Dmi 1702 ==


  And At diverse days and times as well before as Since at
      Chester upper hundred in Kent County within the Jurisdiction of this Court
      did and as yet doth deny and not provide Sufficient meat drink lodging
      And cloathing for his Servts: but doth unreasonably burthen them –
      with labour beyond their Strength And doth debarr them of their —
      Necessary rest and Sleep against the peace of our Lady the Queen and
      Against the form of the Act of Assembly in yt Case Made and provided
                                         Macklin pro Dnã Regina~
           The abovesd. bill was thus Endorsed Vizt. Billa vera Tho: Piner foreman
        Upon which Said Indictm. the Sd Breward Submitts to the Court who Is
        thereupon discharged Paying his fees. And it is order’d yt. the Said James
        take nothing by virtue of any obligation or Specially from any of his Servts.
        Whatsoever (yt. is to Say) No Sume or Sums of money tobacco: corn &ca:

       Majty at Ann Wright : The Jurors for our Sovñ Lady the Queen yt-
                                 That Now is for the body of Kent County upon —
        upon their oathes do present Anne Wright Servt. to John John-
        :son for that she the Said Anne Wright ye. twentyeth day of May —
        Anno Domi. 1702 At Town hundred in Kent County within the
        Jurisdiction of this Court was delivered of a certaine Bastard childe
        agt. the peace of our Sovereign Lady the Queen~ and against the
        forme of the Act of Assembly in yt. Case made & prvided ~
                                      Macklin pr Dna Regina
        Which Said bill was Endorsed billa vera Thomas Piner foreman—
             And the Said Anne being called to the barr Appears & Confesses
        the fact whereof She Stands indicted and likewise depose upon oath
        That Thomas Deverix is the father of her Father of her Child ~
             It is therefore Considered by the Court here this twenty third day
                                                                                                          Anne
        of March Anno 1702 that the Sherf of Kent County take the Sd. ^ to the
        Whipping post and beat her with fifteen lashes Well laid on —
        her bare back Imediately and that As well the Said Thomas –
        Devorix as the Said Anne Wright Serve ye. abovesd. John Johnson
        Six moneths for the Abuse of his house —
               And the Sherf retd. that he hath Executed ye. Stripes as afd.
