        Whereupon the Said John Champney in his proper prson
        Comes into Court and Sayth yt. As to the Sume of twelve
        hundred and fifty pounds of Tobacco the debt afd. he —
        Cannot Say but yt. he is and Stands Justly indebted unto
        the Plaintf in the Same and is therefore willing yt. Judgt: &ca:
           Which being by the Court heard and understood it is by them
        Considered this twenty fifth day of November Anno Dmi 1702
        That the Said John Smith recover against the Said John
        Champney as well the Sume of twelve hundred and fifty pds
        of tobacco the Debt afd As the Sume of two hundred and
        Nine ——— — pounds of tobo cost of Suit and the Deft

Moses Dunce |    was Attached to Answer unto Thomas Cooke of


      a plea yt he render him the full and Just
        Sume of five hundred pounds of good Sound merchantable
        leaf tobacco in one Casq which to him he oweth & from him
        he unjustly detaines as pr the writt brought by Mi: Earle
        Attorney of the Said plaintf and by the Sherf Retd. Endorsed Cepi
        May appeares ~
                And the Said Moses in his proper prson Saith yt: he
        Cannot gainsay the plaintf his accõn So as afd agt. him
        brought nor but that he is and Stands Justly indebted
        unto the plaintf in the Same and is therefore willing
        yt. Judgt. be Entered against him for the Same &
        Cost of Suit .
                Which being by the Court heard and understood
        It is by them Considered that the Said Thomas Cook recovr:
        Against the Said Moses Dunce as well the Sume of o
        five hundred pounds of Tobacco the debt afd as the
        Sume of two hundred and fifty one ————— pds of tobo. Cost
