                                              Sept^r. Court 1702
      to wit the twentyeth day of August Anno Dmⁱ 1700 At Chester river afd –
      the Said Edward in his life time to his own use did dispose and Convert
      And the said Charles and Anne in their afd Capacities Since the death of
      the Said Edward the Same goods and Chattells to their use Do Convert to y^e.
      Damage of the Said Solomon in his afd Capacity fifty four thousand ~~pounds~~
      Seven hundred fifty Six pounds of tobacco and in delay of the Adndcon of
      the goods and Chattells of the Said James at the time of his death —
      and thereupon he brings this Suit and produceth here in Court his
      letters of Adndcon &c^a, Pledges &c^a. John Doe Rich^d. Roe ===
             And the Said Def^t. by M Earle his Att^ry Comes and Defends
      the force and Injury when &c^a: And prays leave to Imp^rle here
      :unto untill next Court which was granted the Same day was
      given the plaint^f Also And Now here At this day to wit the
      twenty Second day of Sept^r. Anno Dmⁱ. 1702 Comes as well the
      Said Def^ts- by their Att^ry as also the afd plaint^f by his Said
      Att^ry And the Cause Standing for Tryall The plaint^f declⁿ was read
      as aboves^d:

The Adm^rs. of James Smith	\|
a^t	\| Not guilty p^r patriam Earle p^r Defte
the Ex^rs. of Edw^d. Smith	\| And the plaint^f in like Manner Macklin
	p^r Quer^r —

             Thereupon Comand is given the Sher^f of Kent County y^t. he
      immediatly Cause to Come here twelve &c^a: by whom &c^a. who —
      Neither &c^a. to recognize because as well &c^a. And now here this —
      day to wit the Same day comes the Said Sher^f. and Makes retⁿ. of
      his Said precept y^t. he has here ready twelve &c^a. As by the
      Said precept it was Commanded to wit Thomas Covington Edward
      Godwin Rob^t. Ingrum Arthur Miller Thomas Pimey John
      Offley John Ponder Benjaⁿ: Ricaud Stephen Whettston John Loyd
      Thomas Godwin & John Meriday Who being Elected Tryed and —
      Sworn to Say the Truth in the p^rmises do Say upon their oaths
      we of The Jury find for the plaint^f which being by the Court
      heard and fully understood    It is Considered by the Said Court—
      that the Said    Solomon Wright Adm^r. as afd recover ag^t: the
      Said Charles Marshall and Anne his wife Ex^rs as afd as Well the
      Sume of twenty Seven thousand three hundred Seventy eight
      pounds of tobacco the debt in the declⁿ menconed as also the Sume
      of Seven hundred pounds of tobacco Cost of Suit and the defend^t. in M^rcy &c^a.
           And the said Charles Marshall and Anne his wife Ex^rs. as afd pray’d
