                                         Sept^r. Court 1702
      Which being by the Court heard and understood it is by them Considered
      this twenty Second day of Sept^r. Anno Dmⁱ. 1702 that the Said Sam^ll:
      Tayler recover ag^t: the Said Robert Hawkshaw As well the Sume
      of four hundred and Eight pounds of tobacco the debt afd As the Sume
      of three hundred and fifty three ————— pounds of tobacco Cost of
      Suit and the defend^t. in mercy &c^a: ====

	Geffry Power	\| John Shaw als dict^s John Shaw of Cecill County was Sumoned ===
	a^t	\| to Answer unto Geffry Power of A plea y^t. he render him —
	John Shaw	\| the Sume Of: Eight hundred twenty and five pounds of tob^o:
		in Casq which to him he oweth and from him unjustly detains

        As p^r the Declⁿ and bill filed in this Court by Richard Macklin Att^ry of
        the plaint^f May more at large appear ~
             And the S^d. Def^t. by M Earle his Att^ry appeares and prays:
        leave to Imp^rle untill next Court and he hath it the Same day is —
        given the plaint^f also. At which S^d. Next Court Comes the Said Plf
        by his Att^ry And the S^d. Michael Earle Att^ry as afd who Sayth y^t:
        he is not informed by his Client of Any Sufficient Matter or thing
        to plead in barr of the accon afd So as afd brought So y^t. y^e.
        Said Geffrey Power remains ag^t: the Said John Shaw Altogether
        Undefended.
                It is Therefore Considered by the Justices here this twenty Second
        day of September Anno Dmⁱ. 1702 That the Said Geffry Power recov^r:
        ag^t. the Said John Shaw as well the Sume of Eight hundred twenty
        and five pounds of tobacco y^e. debt afd as the Sume of three
        hundred and twenty one ——— pounds of tobacco Cost of Suit & y^e.
        Def^t. in Mercy &c^a.

	John Smith -	\| Thomas Hawkins als dict^s Thomas Hawkins of Chester
	a^t	\| river in Kent County in the province of Maryland plant^r-
	Tho^s. Hawkins -	\| was Sumoned to Answer unto John Smith of A plea
		that he render him the full And Just Sume of one thou:

        :sand four hundred and Seventy four pounds of tobacco good Sound
        and Merchantable In Casq clear from all Manner of ground —
        Leaves and Trash which to him he oweth and from him he —
        unjustly detains. As p^r y^e. declⁿ and ~~account~~ bill filed in this Co^rt-
        by Richard Macklin Att^ry of the plf May Appeares And the s^d.
        Tho^s. by Michael Earle his Att^ry Comes and Defends the force and
        Injury when &c^a. And prays leave to Imparle hereunto
        untill next Court and he hath it y^e. Same day is given the plaint^f
