     John Hollinsworth |      John Chanmey als dicts John Champey of ye. Same
        at |    County Admr. of all and Singular the goods Chells
   Wm. Breretons |    and creditts of Wm. Brereton late of the Same

      County planter decd was Sumoned to Answer
        Unto John Hollinsworth of A plea yt. he render unto him ye. full
        And Just Sume of ninety five pounds Sixteen Shillings of good=
        and lawfull mony of England which from him he unjustly –
       Detains. And Whereupon the Sd plf by Michael Earle his Attry
       Saith that Whereas    the Sd Wm. Brereton in his life time to
      Wit the twenty first day of May Annoq Dmi 1698 in Sd Coty =
      Within the Jurisdiction of this Court by his certaine bond
      Or Writing Obligatory Sealed with his seale As his act
      And deed Delivered and here in Court brought whose date
      is the Same day and year did acknowledge himself to Be =
      Owing and to Stand firmly Bound unto the Said Plaintf. his
      heires Exrs Admrs. or certaine Attry or Assignes in the afd Sume
      of ninety five pounds Sixteen Shillings Currant Mony as afd
      to the which payment well and truly to be made and done
      As afd the Said Wm. bound himself his heires Exrs & Admrs:
      firmly by the Said Bond Yet Notwithstanding ye. Said Wm. in
      his lifetime the afd Sume of 95lb:16s:. Sterg according to the tenr.
      of the Same bond unto the Said plaintf he did not pay Altho’ often
      Demanded Neither hath the Sd. Admr. In his Said Capacity Since ye.
      Death of the Said Wm. Paid the Same (Altho’ unto him lers of
      Admdcon in due form of law hath been Committed) And he hath
      been thereunto often required but the Same to pay he hath —
      Denyed and refused and Still doth deny and refuse and unjustly
      Detaine to the damage of the Said plaintf 191lb:12s: Sterg like mony
      As afd And thereupon he brings this Suit plegs. ~ Jno Doe R Roe =
             And the Sd. Deft: by R: Macklin Attry comes and defends
      the force and Injury when &ca: and prays Oyer of the Afd Obligacon
      and ‘tis read unto him he Also prays oyer of the Condition of ye.
      Same And it is read unto him in these words following &ca The
      Condition of the above Obligation is Such yt. if the above bound
      Wm. Brereton his heires Exrs. Admrs Shall and will Save and –
      well and truly defend and keep harmless the above Named John
      Hollinsworth his heires Exrs. Admrs. of And from all Manner
      of Damages that Shall or May accrew to him ye. Said John
      Hollinsworth his heires Exrs admrs by virtue of A bond passed
