                                         Septr. Court 1702
        Did Enter upon and two Oak timber trees of the price or Value of
        forty Shillings Sterg he the Sd. Wm. Did Cut down and to his own prpr:
        use did convert and dispose and other harms unto him the Sd Peter
        he the Said Wm. did do Contrary to the peace &ca. whereby he the Sd
        Peter Sayth he the worse is And Damage hath Sustained to ye.
        value of four pounds Sterg And thereupon he brings this Suit
                          Pleges &ca. John Doe Ri Roe —————
        And the Sd. Deft. by R Macklin his attry Comes and Defends the force
        and Injury when &ca. And prays leave to imprle hereunto Untill
        next Court. which is granted him the Same day is given the plf also
                At Which Said next Court to wit this twenty Second day
        of September Anno Dmi 1702 here Comes As well ye. plaintf
        by his Attry afd As the Sd. Deft. by his Attry who for plea Says,
        further defending the force and Injury, that he is not guilty
        And of this he puts himself upon the Countrey. and ye. plaintf in like manr
             Whereupon Command is given the Sherf of Kent County yt:
        he immediately Cause to Come here twelve &ca. by whom &ca:
        who neither &ca. to recognize &ca. because as well &ca. And
        the Sherf retd. his Said precept yt he has here ready twelve &ca:
        Asd by his precept he was Comanded (to witt) Thomas Covington
        Wm. Blay Alexr. Graves Rice Jones Benjn. Bond Steph Whetston
        David Davison Robt. Foreman Thomas Usher Robt. Ingram
        Edwd. Carrill and John Merriday who being Elected tryed
        And Sworn to say the truth in the prmises do Say And —
        having heard the pleadings and Allegations on both Sides
        Do Say upon their oaths we of the Jury find for the Deft:
             Which being by the Court heard and understood it is
        by the Justices here Considered this twenty Second day of Septr:
        Anno Dmi 1702 // That the Sd. Peter Green take Nothing by
        his writt afd but be in Mercy for his false Clamour And yt:
        the Said Wm. Deakers go thereof without day And it is likewise
        Considered by the Court here the Same day and year yt. the Said ==
        Willm. Deakers recover agt. the Sd. Peter Green the Sume of
        Nine hundred ninety and nine ——— pounds of tobo. for his
        Costs and Charges in this behalf laid out And Expended ~
