Kent County Court, Proceedings, 1701-1705

        Defends the Injury when &c^a. And for plea Says y^t: he
        hath not Assumed upon himself in Manner and form as the
        plaint^f in his aforemenconed declⁿ hath Alleadged and for Tryall
        puts himself upon the Countrey. And y^e. plf in like Manner
           Whereupon Comand is given the Sher^f of Kent County that
        he immediately Cause to Come here twelve &c^a. by whom &c^a:
        who neither &c^a: to recognize &c^a. because as well &c^a. And the S^d. Sher^f
        Now Makes retⁿ. of his S^d precept y^t. he has here ready twelve &c^a:
        As by his precept it was Comanded (to witt) Thomas
        Covington W^m. Blay Alex^r. Graves Rice Jones Benjⁿ. Bond Stephen
        Whettston David Davison Robert Foreman Tho^s. Usher Rob^t:
        Ingram Edw^d. Carrill & John Merriday who being Elected tryed
        And Sworn to Say the truth in the p^rmises do Say upon
        their oaths we of the Jury do find for the Defend^t::
        Which being by the Court heard it is by them Considered this
        twenty second day of Sept^r. Anno Dmⁱ 1702 y^t. the Said
        Peter Green take Nothing by his writt afd but be in Mercy
        for his false Clamour And y^t. the s^d. W^m. Deakers recover ag^t. y^e.
        Said Peter Green the Sume of One thousand twenty and —
        Nine ~ ~ ~ ~ pounds of Tobacco for his costs and Charges
        in this behalf laid out and Expended &c^a:

     Kent County in Maryland Ss:

Peter Green	\| W^m. Deakers of Said County Cooper Stands Attached to Answer
a^t	\| unto Peter Green of the Same County of a plea where=
W^m. Deakers	\| :fore by force and Arms two Oak timber trees —
	price forty shillings Ster^g of the proper goods of him
	the Said Peter he the Said William Did cut Down &
	Make use off And other evills unto him the Said Peter
	he the Said W^m. Did do contrary to her Majties peace &c^a.

   And Whereupon the Said Peter by Michael Earle his Att^ry Com=
   :plains And Sayth y^t. whereas the Said W^m. on the twenty Seventh
   day of Jan^ry Annoq Dmⁱ 1701 In Island hundred in Kent County within
   the Jurisdiccon of this Court by force and Arms the Land of the Said Peter
