      Wm. Jackson and Nicho. Marsey who having been Sumoned accord=
      =ing to Act of Assembly on the Seventh day of Aprill anno Dmi
      1702 Did present John Hazley Servt. to Giles Bond for killing
      taking and bearing away Two certaine hogs of the price of
      One hundred and twenty pounds of tobacco of a certn. prson unknown
           Which Said Prsentmt. was by Ri Macklin Clk of ye. Indictmts=
      formed into A bill which follows in these words vizt:
   Kent Ss: The Jurors for our Sovereign Lord the King    for the body
      of Kent province County upon their oaths do present John
      Hasley Servt. to Giles bond of Kent County Merchant for that he
      the Said John Hasley the Sixth day of Novr: Anno Domi 1701
      At Chester upper hundred in Kent County within the Jurisdiction
      of this Court with force and Arms two hogs of the price of
      One hundred and twenty pounds of tobacco the proper hoggs
      of A prson unknown felloniously did kill take and bear=
      away agt. the peace of our Sovereign Lord the King and agt.
      the form of the Act of the Act of Assembly in yt case
      Made and provided    Macklin pr Dmo rege
                                                             billa vera
           Which Sd. Bill was Thus endorsed vizt ^ Tho: Wyat foreman
      And A Vene. facs having thereupon Issd. to ye. Sherf at the Sd Hazley
      he Appeared and was thereupon bound by Recoge from Cort to
      Court and this Cause thereupon Contd. untill this twenty Second day
      of September Anno Domi 1702/    When the Sd. Hazley being
      Called to the barr to Make defence to the indictmt: afd for plea
      Says yt. he is not guilty of the fellony and hogsteeling imposed
      upon him and for Tryall puts himself upon ye. Countrey
      And the sd Rich Macklin who follows &ca. Similiter [?]
           Whereupon Comand is given the Sherf of Kent County ~
      That he immediately Cause to Come here twelve &ca. by whom
      &ca. who do not &ca. to recoge &ca. because as well &ca. of which
      Sd Precept ye. Same day and year ye. Sherf Makes retn. yt. he has here
      ready twelve &ca. As by his precept he was Commanded ~ ~
      to wit Thomas Covington, Wm. Blay Alexr. Graves Rice Jones
      Benjn. Bond Stephen Whettston David Davison Robt: Foreman
      Thos. Usher Robt. Ingram Edwd. Carrill John Meriday Who being
      Elected Tryed and Sworn to Say the Truth in the prmises do Say
      upon their Oaths we of the Jury find the Deft. guilty of Steeling
