heard the hoggs, which being by the Court ^ and Understood it is by them Considered ys. twenty Second day of Septr. afd that the Sd John Hazley Pay unto the owner of the sd hoggs if Any Appear four and [illegible] to ye. Srall officers of Cort to whom they are due fold ^ according to the directions of the Act of Assembly in yt. case pro: vided. And that the Sherf of Kent County Immediately take ye: him Said John Hazley to the pillory and Sett^ therein for ye. Space of one quarter of An hour and likewise that the Sd. Sherf after Such putting in the pillory as afd take the Sd John to the whipping post And the Sd. in Kent County within the Jurisdiccon of this Court wth. force and Arms one horse of the price of Six hundred pounds of tobo. the proper horse of a certaine Wm. Burris felloniously he did take and bear away agt. the peace of our Sovereign Lady the Queen & agt. the form of the act of Assembly in yt. Case made and provided Macklin pr Dna Regã Which Said bill was Thus Endorsed vizt. A True bill Tho Weyatt foreman~ And the Sd. John Having been bound by recognize: from Court to Cort from the tenth day of Aprill untill The twenty fifth day of August anno dmi. 1702 The Said John beeing called to the barr to Answer the prmises Sayth that he is not guilty of the horse stealing afd and for Tryall puts himself upon the Countrey And ye.
