        And Whereupon the afd Plaintifs in their afd Capacities by Richd.
        Macklin their Attry Complaine that Whereas the Said Robert
        Norrest in his life time to wit to wit the twenty Sixth day of
        March Anno Dom 1698 At Chester river in Kent County within the
        Jurisdiction of this Court was possessed of a certaine young Mare
        of the price of nine hundred pounds of tobacco as of his own
        Mare And being thereof So posses’d the Said Robert Norrest lost the
        Said Mare out of his hands and possion which Said Mare afterwards
        that is to Say the thirtyeth day of May then next following At Chester
        afd by finding Came to the hands and possion of the Said Thomas
        Hawkins Yet the Said Thomas knowing yt. Mare to be the prpr
        Mare of him the Said Robert Norrest and to him in his life
        time to prtaine and to them the Said Plaintfs. after the death of the
        Said Robert Norrest as Exrs of the last will and testament
        of the Said Robert Norrest of right to belong And prtaine
        And devising and fraudulently intending craftilly and Subtilly to
        deceive and defraud the Said Robert Norrest in his lifetime and
        them the Sd. Exrs after the death of the Said Robert Norrest the Same
        Mare to the Said Robert Norrest in his life time or to the Exrs
        after the death of the Said Robert Norrest Altho: the Sd. Thomas
        Hawkins by them the Said Exrs was often required to do the
        Same after the death of the Sd. Robert Norrest hath not delivered
        but that Mare afterwards that is to Say ye. 29th. day of July Anno:
        Dmi. 1701 at Chester river afd within the Jurisdiction afd hath
        Converted and disposed to his own use to the damage of them
        Said plfs in their Said Capacities 1800lb tobo: and thereupon they
        bring this Suit and into Court they bring their letters testary
        Whereby &ca. Macklin pr qr. pledges &ca: Jno. Doe Ri Roe ~ ~

           And the Sd Defendt. by M Earle his Attry Comes and Appeares &
        prays leave to Imparle hereunto untill next Court which is
        granted him the Same day is given the plaintf also ~ At
        Which Said next Cort to wit ye. 23d. day of June 1701 the Sd.
        prties Appearing this Cause was Contd. untill next Court At which
        Said Next Court to wit this twenty fifth day of August 1702
        Comes the Sd. Plaintfs. by their Attry afd And prays Judgt. for
        yt. that the Sd. Defendt. hath not filed his plea according to the
        rules of this Court in Such cases provided ~ Which being the
        Court Enquired of and found to be true It is by the Justices here
        Considered ye. Same day and year yt. the Said Plaints Admrs. as Afd
        recover agt. the Said Thos. Hawkins Deft. as well the Saide [illegible]
        Mare of the price afd and Damages by occasion of the Conversion afd
