LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 33

(C) DUTIES.

IN ADDITION TO ANY OTHER DUTIES SET FORTH IN THIS
SUBTITLE, THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SHALL:

(1)   DIRECT AND SUPERVISE THE ADMINISTRATIVE
AFFAIRS AND TECHNICAL ACTIVITIES OF THE AUTHORITY IN
ACCORDANCE WITH ITS RULES, REGULATIONS, AND POLICIES;

(2)   ATTEND ALL MEETINGS OF THE AUTHORITY;

(3)   KEEP MINUTES OF ALL PROCEEDINGS OF THE
AUTHORITY;

(4)   APPROVE ALL ACCOUNTS FOR SALARIES, PER DIEM
PAYMENTS, AND ALLOWABLE EXPENSES OF THE AUTHORITY AND ITS
EMPLOYEES AND CONSULTANTS AND APPROVE ALL EXPENSES
INCIDENTAL TO THE OPERATION OF THE AUTHORITY; AND

(5)   PERFORM ANY OTHER DUTY THAT THE AUTHORITY OR
THE SECRETARY REQUIRES FOR CARRYING OUT THE PROVISIONS OF

THIS SUBTITLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the third
sentence of Art. 41, § 266HH-3(d) — as that
sentence relates to the executive director — and
from Art. 41, § 266HH-4.

Throughout this section, the title "executive
director" is substituted for "manager" to conform
to the nomenclature that the Authority will
adopt.

In subsections (a) and (b) of this section, the
full title "Secretary of Economic and Community
Development" is used, although "Secretary" is
defined in § 13-201 of this subtitle to that
effect, to avoid confusion with references to the
executive director as secretary of the Authority.

Subsection (b) of this section is revised to
state expressly that the concurrence of the
Secretary of Economic and Community Development
is required for the removal of the executive
director.

As to the deletion of the fourth sentence of Art.
41, § 266HH-3(d), which requires that the
executive director be bonded, see the revisor's
note to § 13-207 of this subtitle.

The last sentence of present Art. 41, §
266HH—4 (a), which specifies that the executive
director is not in the classified service, is
deleted as unnecessary, in light of subsection
