Chapter 27

AN ACT and ORDINANCE amending and supplementing Bill
No. 4-77, introduced at the February Legislative Session of
1977, enacted March 15, 1977, and becoming effective June 7,
1977, as Chapter 36 of the Laws of Montgomery County of 1977
to provide, in accordance with the provisions of Section 3
thereof, that the $5,000,000 "Pollution Control Revenue
Bonds (Potomac Electric Project)" thereby authorized to be
issued may be issued in an additional amount not to exceed
$2,500,000, for an aggregate of not exceeding $7,500,000 and
to provide that the Bonds may be issued to mature within the
maximum maturity period allowed by Maryland law at the time
of issuance.

WHEREAS the estimated cost of the Project for which
$5,000,000 "Pollution Control Revenue Bonds (Potomac
Electric Project)", were authorized to be issued under the
provisions of Bill No. 4-77 introduced at the February
Legislative Session of 1977, enacted March 15, 1977, and
becoming effective June 7, 1977, as Chapter 36 of the Laws
of Montgomery County of 1977, have increased since the
enactment of that Bill, and

WHEREAS the County Council wishes to exercise the
authority that it reserved to itself under Section 3 of that
Bill to increase the amount of the Bonds issued by an act
supplemental thereto, and further to provide that the Bonds
may be issued to mature on whatever date may be the maximum
allowed under Maryland law at the time the Bonds are issued
or any earlier date, now therefore

Effective Date February 8, 1979.

Chapter 28

AN EMERGENCY ACT to amend Section 31-47, title "Parking
Privileges for Disabled Persons" of Article VI, title
"Parking, Special Provisions" of Chapter 31, title "Motor
Vehicles, Traffic and Parking" of the Montgomery County Code
1972, as amended; to expand the definition of disabled
person; to provide for the issuance of a portable placard to
a disabled person or a person who regularly transports a
disabled person.

Effective Date November 24, 1978.
