Council of the Town of Manchester to enlarge the corporate
boundaries of said Town by the annexation of a parcel of
land contiguous to and adjoining the existing corporate
boundaries of said Town; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have caused to be made a
verification of the signatures upon said Petition and have
ascertained that the persons signing the Petition represent
at least Twenty-five percent (25%) of the persons who reside
in the area to be annexed or who are registered voters in
County elections in the precinct in which the territory to
be annexed is located and the owners of at least Twenty-five
percent (25%) of the assessed valuation of the real property
located in the area to be annexed;

Carroll County, added.

TO REDUCE THE CORPORATE BOUNDARIES
RESOLUTION OF The Burgess and Commissioners of
Middletown, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article
11-E of the Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of
Article 23-A of the Annotated Code of Maryland, (1957 (1973)
Replacement Volume and 1977 Supplement) title "Corporations
Municipal", to repeal and re-enact, with amendments
Section 20-2, Article I of Chapter 20 of the Frederick
County Code, 1959, so as to provide for the altering of the
present corporate limits in order to reduce the boundaries
of the Burgess and Commissioners of Middletown, a municipal
corporation of the State of Maryland, by the deannexation of
the following described areas;
[Section 20-2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Frederick County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.
