one representative of the Maryland Social Services
Administration; one representative of the Statewide Health
Coordinating Council; one representative of the Central
Maryland Health Systems Agency; one representative of the
Maryland Office on Aging; one representative of the Johns
Hopkins or Maryland Schools University School of Medicine;
one representative of the University of Maryland School of
Medicine; one representative of the Medical and Chirurgical
Faculty of Maryland; one representative of the Maryland
Society for the Rheumatic Diseases; one adult or pediatric
rheumatologist; one orthopedic surgeon; one arthritis health
professional; one member of the Arthritis Foundation
Maryland Chapter representative of the Maryland Chapter of
the Arthritis Foundation; one member representative of a
private insurance company; one arthritic patient; and one
member representative of the Maryland Hospital Association;
and be it further,
RESOLVED, That the task force report its findings and
recommendations to the Governor and General Assembly by
January 1, 1982; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution be sent to the
Honorable Harry Hughes, Governor; the Honorable James Clark,
Jr., President of the Senate; the Honorable Benjamin L.
Cardin, Speaker of the House of Delegates; the Honorable
Charles R. Buck, Jr., Secretary of Health and Mental

C/T Scanners
FOR the purpose of urging the Secretary of Health and Mental
Hygiene to direct the Maryland Health Planning and
Development Agency to conduct further hearings on
certain applications for Certificates of Need for C/T
Scanners; and generally relating to Certificates of
Need and C/T Scanners.
