(ii) Those school-aged children who are in
day-care centers which were previously funded by the Mental
Retardation Administration and for whom an exception was
granted for fiscal [year] YEARS 1978-1979 AND 1979-1980
whose parents or guardians are domiciled in the county.
(2) Notwithstanding paragraph (1) of this
section, for fiscal year [1979-1980] 1980-1981 only, the
State Superintendent shall allow a handicapped child to
remain in a day-care center on application for good cause by
the county superintendent AND AGREEMENT BY THE PARENT. The
application for good cause may include the lack of:
(i) Available budget funds; or
(ii) Appropriate alternate school
placement.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

AN ACT concerning
Patuxent River Watershed - Policy Plan
FOR the purpose of requiring the Department of State
Planning to develop a policy plan for the Patuxent
River Watershed; defining certain terms; providing for
certain components and contributions of the policy plan
providing certain funding for the policy plan;
providing certain staff for the planning program;
creating a Patuxent River Commission in the Department
of Natural Resources State Planning; providing for
composition, membership, term, and officers of the
Commission; providing certain powers and duties for the
Commission; providing a certain date for completion of
the policy plan; providing for certain reports;
requiring a certain approval of the policy plan; and
generally relating to the planning, formulation, and
approval of the policy plan for the Patuxent River
Watershed.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
