2496                                     LAWS OF MARYLAND                                   Ch. 718

[(c)] (D) "Junk" means old or scrap copper, brass,
rope, rags, batteries, paper, trash, rubber debris, waste,
iron, steel, and any other old or scrap material[, including
wrecked, scrapped, ruined, or dismantled motor vehicles or
motor vehicle parts].

[(d)] (E) "Junkyard" means an establishment or place of
business that is maintained, operated, or used:

junk;

FACILITY.

(1)  For storing, keeping, buying, or selling

(2)  For an automobile graveyard;

(3)  As a garbage dump or sanitary fill; [or]

(4)  As a scrap metal processing facility; OR

(5)  AS AN AUTOMOTIVE DISMANTLER OR RECYCLER

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

(Senate Bill 706)

AN ACT concerning

Washington County - Election Judges

FOR the purpose of altering the compensation for election
judges and the chief election judge for Washington
County; allowing the Board of Elections of Washington
County to establish or approve certain compensation and
expenses of certain election judges; providing for
additional compensation for certain election judges;
providing for the payment of certain expenses; and
clarifying language.

FOR the purpose of increasing the minimum compensation for
members of the Board of Supervisors of Elections of
Washington County; allowing the Board and County
Council Commissioners to provide additional
compensation to election judges under certain
circumstances; relating generally to election judges in
Washington County; and clarifying language.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
