Ch. 702

(V) MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN ACTIVITIES
RELATING TO EXAMINATIONS UNLESS APPROVED BY THE BOARD.

No more than two members of the Board shall be
officials or full-time employees of State or local
governments. All members of the Board shall be citizens of
the United States or have declared their intent to become
citizens of the United States, and each shall have resided
in this State at least one year prior to appointment to the
Board.

(b) [Of the Board members initially appointed, three
shall be appointed for a one-year term of office, three
shall be appointed for a two-year term, and three shall be
appointed for a three-year term. Thereafter, the]

(1)  THE term of office for each member shall be
three years, EXCEPT THE INITIAL TERM OF THE CONSUMER MEMBER
APPOINTED ON JULY 1, 1980 SHALL BE 2 YEARS.

(2)  No member shall serve more than two
consecutive full terms.

(3)  Any vacancy occurring on the Board shall be
filled by the appointive authority for the unexpired term.

791.

As used in this subtitle, unless the context otherwise
requires:

(9)  "FINANCIAL INTEREST" MEANS:

(I)  AN ASSET WITH A FAIR MARKET VALUE OF
$1,000 OR MORE IN A CALENDAR YEAR; OR

(II)  A SOURCE OF INCOME OF $500 OR MORE IN
A CALENDAR YEAR.

(10)  "HOUSEHOLD MEMBER" MEANS:

(I)  A PERSON'S SPOUSE, SON, DAUGHTER,
WARD, FINANCIALLY DEPENDENT PARENT, OR OTHER RELATIVE WHO
SHARES THE PERSON'S LEGAL RESIDENCE; OR

(II)  A PERSON'S SON, DAUGHTER, WARD,
PARENT, OR OTHER RELATIVE OVER WHOSE FINANCIAL AFFAIRS THE
PERSON HAS LEGAL OR ACTUAL CONTROL.

801.

(a) (1) All [persons] AUDIOLOGISTS AND SPEECH
PATHOLOGISTS appointed to the boards after the date on which
the boards first issue a license, as provided in § 795,
shall be persons who hold valid licenses.
