(2)  The Governor may not give priority to either
of the lists but shall give equal consideration to them in
making appointments to the Board.

(3)  The Board of Podiatry Examiners of the State
of Maryland as constituted on June 30, 1974 shall continue
with each present member serving for the remainder of the
term for which he was appointed.

492.

(a) In this subtitle the following words have the
meanings indicated.

(E)  "FINANCIAL INTEREST" MEANS:

(1)  AN ASSET WITH A FAIR MARKET VALUE OF $1,000
OR MORE IN A CALENDAR YEAR; OR

(2)  A SOURCE OF INCOME OF $500 OR MORE IN A
CALENDAR YEAR.

(F)  "HOUSEHOLD MEMBER" MEANS:

(1)  A PERSON'S SPOUSE, SON, DAUGHTER, WARD,
FINANCIALLY DEPENDENT PARENT, OR OTHER RELATIVE WHO SHARES
THE PERSON'S LEGAL RESIDENCE; OR

(2)  A PERSON'S SON, DAUGHTER, WARD, PARENT, OR
OTHER RELATIVE OVER WHOSE FINANCIAL AFFAIRS THE PERSON HAS
LEGAL OR ACTUAL CONTROL.

499.

(A)  There is hereby created and established a board to
be known by the name and style of the State Board of
Chiropractic Examiners[, and said].

(B)  THE Board shall be composed of three (3) resident
course graduated practicing chiropractors of integrity and
ability, who shall be residents of the State of Maryland and
who shall have practiced chiropractic in the State for a
period of at least five (5) consecutive years[.], AND ONE
CONSUMER MEMBER WHO:

(1)  IS QUALIFIED TO REPRESENT THE INTERESTS OF
CONSUMERS A MEMBER OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC;

(2)  HAS NEVER BEEN A CHIROPRACTOR OR
CHIROPRACTOR-IN-TRAINING, NOR HAS A HOUSEHOLD MEMBER WHO IS
A CHIROPRACTOR OR CHIROPRACTOR-IN-TRAINING;

(3)  HAS NEVER PARTICIPATED IN A RELATED
COMMERCIAL OR PROFESSIONAL FIELD, NOR HAS A HOUSEHOLD MEMBER
WHO PARTICIPATES IN A RELATED COMMERCIAL OR PROFESSIONAL
FIELD;
