(b) if the Bank Commissioner consents to the proposed
change of place of business, the [Bank Commissioner]
LICENSEE shall attach the written consent to the license.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

Banking Hours - Howard and Talbot Counties

FOR the purpose of extending to banking institutions located
in Howard and Talbot Counties authority to close at
noon on those Saturdays on which the institution elects
to open.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland

(as enacted by Chapter ____ (H.B. 1) of the Acts of the

General Assembly of 1980) be repealed, amended, or enacted
to read as follows:

Article - Financial Institutions

5-706.

(a)  Saturday is an optional bank holiday.

(b) [(1) This subsection does not apply to Howard or
Talbot County.

(2)] A banking institution that opens for
business on Saturday may close at noon.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.
