   In the name of God Amen I Samuel Reed of Kent County
   in the province of Maryland being in perfect health Sound mind
   and Memory do make this my last Will and Testament in manner
   and form following that is to Say. I give and bequeath to my Mother
   Hannah Reed all my land during her Natural life, then I give
   to my Brother Philip Reed a Tract of Land called Green Meadow ~
   in fee Simple, and part of a Tract of Land called the Subberbs, and
   part of a Tract of Land called Pearch Meadow in fee Simple, and. —
   Seventy Acres of land part of a Tract of Land called Hopewell in fee —
   Simple. then I give and bequeath to my Brother John Reed all ~
   the Residue of my land in fee Simple, I give to my Sisters Milean
   Read, Ruth Read, and Sinah Reed all my Negroes equally to be divided
   I do hereby nominated Constitute and appoint my Mother Hannah ~
   Reed Executrix of this my last Will and Testament, In Witness whereof
   I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 28th day of Septemr. 1777

   to be his last Will and Testament
   Robt. Roberts, Richard Willis,   ABordley. —
   January 12th. 1785 Then came Robert Roberts, & Richard Willis two of the
   Subscribing Witnesses to the within last Will and Testament of Samuel
   Reed late of Kent County deceased, and Severally made Oath on the
   Holy Evangels of Almighty God, that they did See the Testator therein
   named Sign & Seal this Will, And that^theyheard him publish pronounce
   and declare the same to be his last Will & Testament, and that at
   the same time he was to the best of their apprehensions of Sound —
   disposing mind, memory and Understanding, And that these deponts
   together with Arthur Bordley the other Subscribing Witness within
   named, Subscribed their names as Witnesses to this Will in the
   presence of the Testator and at his Request, and in the presence of –
   each other. —                 Sworn Before   JNicholson Regr
