85 In the name of God Amen on the Sixteenth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty three – I John Dwire of Kent County in the state of Maryland planter being in health of Body and of sound mind and memory thanks be to God for the same therefore I do hereby Constitute and ordain this my last Will and Testament wherein I do dispose of all my lands, and also my personal Estate with which it hath pleased God to – bless me in this world and that in the following manner + form – Item first of all I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Susannah Dwire one third part of all my Lands known by the name of Heaths Chance and Midle Neck lying to the West of Loyds Creek during her Natural life, also one third part of all my personal Estate that shall remain after my Just debts are paid during her natural life aforesaid Secondly I give and bequeath to my son William Dwire all that – remaining part of my afd Lands to him and his Heirs for ever and also his Mothers third – part of my Lands afd before bequeathed after her decease to him and his heirs for ever On Condition that he the aforesaid William Dwire his heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns do and shall well & truly pay or cause to be paid the following Sums of money hereafter mentioned unto nine of my remaining Children Expresed by name as follows, unto my Daughter Elizabeth Howard, or her heirs the Sum of Twenty five pounds in gold or Silver, unto my Daughter Mary Howard or her heirs the Sum of twenty five pounds in gold or Silver, unto my Son Joseph Dwire or hisheirs the Sum of twenty five pounds in gold or Silver, unto my Daughter Susannah Dwire or her heirs the Sum of Twenty five pounds in gold or Silver, Unto my Son James Dwire or his heirs the Sum of Twenty five pounds in gold or Silver, unto my Daughter Ann Dwire or her heirs the Sum of twenty five pounds in gold or Silver, unto my Daughter Hannah Dwire or her heirs the Sum of twenty five pounds in gold or Silver, unto my Daughter Sary Dwire or her heirs the sum of twenty five pounds in gold or Silver, And unto my Son Mathew Dwire or his heirs the Sum of twenty five pounds in Gold |
