   John Eunick late of Kent County deceased and Severally made Oath on
   the Holy Evangels of Almighty God that they did See the Testator therein
   named Sign and Seal this Will and that they heard him publish pronounce
   and declare the Same to be his last Will & Testament, that at the time
   of his so doing he was to the best of their Apprehensions of sound and
   disposing mind memory and Understanding And that they these —
   deponants Together with William Gale the other Subscribing Witness
   within named Respectively Subscribed their names as Witnesses to —
   this Will, in the presence and at the request of the Testator, and in the
   presence of each other. ——                 J Nicholson Regr

      In the Name of God Amen I James Mc.Clean of Kent County In
   the State of Maryland being sick and weak of Body but of Sound &
   disposing mind and memory, and being desireous to Settle my Worldly
   affairs do therefore make and publish this my last will & Testament
   in manner and form following ——
   First and principally I committ my Soul into the hands of Almighty God —
   and my Body to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors —
   herein after named, and after my Debts & funeral Charges are paid
   I device and bequeath as follows. —
   Item my Will and desire is that the Marriage Articles or Contract –
   with my dear Wife be complyed with by my Executors, and that they
   in one year after my decease do pay unto my said wife a Sum of
   money equal to one fourth part of my personal Estate as the same —
   shall be appraised ( alld [?] Just demands being first Satisfied ) And in case ~
   my wife should chuse such House furniture and plate as belonged to
   her at the time of our Marriage and what shall be remaining at the time
   of my decease and undisposed of ( the Clock excepted ) and also a Negro man
   called Will and likewise my Chaise & Chaire Horse in part of the said Sum
   that then my Will is that she shall have all or any of the said Articles
   at their Valuation or Appraisement in part as afd. and also such . —
