( 37 ) In the Name of God Amen I John Eunick of Kent County and State of Maryland being sick and Weak in body but of perfect mind and Memory – thanks be given unto God, Therefore calling unto mind the Mortallity of my – Body, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and – ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner & form following Vizt. Imprimis I Commit my Body to the Ground desiring it may a Decent and Christian Interment, My Soul I Commit into the hands of God that gave it looking for that Glorious reunion of Soul & Body at the Resurrection whom through the Allone Merritts of my Redeemer Christ Jesus the Righteous Jehovah to Enjoy Eternal Happiness, And for what Worldy Estate the Lord hath been pleased to bless me with ( my Just Debts being paid ) I bequeath as follows Item I give and bequeath to my oldest Daughter Elizabeth Eunick a negro Boy named Tom Inclusive. Item I give & bequeath unto my Daughter Sarah Eunick a negro Boy named Ancues [?] Inclusive Item I give and bequeath unto the afd Elizabeth & Sarah Eunick my beloved Daughters Two Hundred pounds each in Specie + the two negroes above mentioned Inclusive, and this to be Levied out of my Estate + paid . unto the afd Elizabeth and Sarah Eunick when they are of Age at the discretion of my Trustees whom I shall hereafter mention Item I give and bequeath unto my Eldest Son Thomas Eunick all that Moiety of Land being a purchase of George Wetherel Item I give and bequeath unto my Son John Eunick all the rest of my land that is on the South Side of Still pond Creek, excluding two acres, the said two Acres of Ground to begin at a Chesnut tree standing in the Clear Ground near the Creek where the road originially went through the plantation, and the afd two Acres to be laid out from thence by and with George Rosins line twenty perches in length and – as much in breadth as will contain two Acres. Item My Will is that if my Son Thomas shou’d die without Issue of his Body lawfully begotten that then the Land and whatever else is nominated unto him may Revert unto my Son John Eunick, And if he shoud happen to die likewise then the Land to be equally divided between my two Daughters by the afd division |
