35 In the Name of God Amen I David Boyd of Chester Kent County in the province of Maryland do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following I give and bequeath unto Thomas Bardon my House and Lott and Touls and Housesel furniture and Books and Stock In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 15. day of February 1783. Signed Sealed published and declared by the Testator in the presents of the Subscribers and at his Request James Rollison David Bayd () his mark ~ Oliver Higginbotton, Joel Higginbottom February 24th 1783 Then Came James Rollison Joel Higginbottom and Oliver Higginbothom the three Subscribing Witnesses to the within last Will of David Boyd late of Kent County deceased, And Severally made Oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God, that they did See the Testator herein named Sign and Seal this Will, And that they heard him publish pronounce and declare the same to be his last Will & Testament, that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their Apprehensions of Sound and disposing mind memory and Understanding; And that they respectively Subscribed their names as Witnesses to this Will in the presence, and at the Request of the Testator and in the presence of each other.
