{264} Witness was Present at the Same time and Signed her Name as a Witness to this Will together with these Deponants, in the Presence and at the Request of the Testator and in the Presence of each other Before Jn.o Nicholson Reg.r Wills for K.t County On the 9.th day of March 1789 Then Came Hannah Massy the Widow of Abednego Massy late of Kent County deced and Quited her claim to the several Bequest and Devises made to her in the Will of her said Husband Deceased and Elected in lieu thereof her dower, or third Part of the Deceaseds Estate both Real and Personal Before Jn.o Nicholson Reg.r Wills for K.t County ~ In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth Jorden of Kent County in the State of Maryland Widow, being weak in Body, but Sound in mind Considering the uncertainties of Life, wishes to Settle my worely affairs First I Recommend my Soul to ~ God, relying on his Great mercy - Secondly I Give and bequeath to my Son, William Jordan, the Negro man Soloman, to belong to him and his Heirs forever 3.d I Give and Bequeath to my Daughter Betsey Jordan all the Remainder of my Property, Consisting in Negroes household Goods, and Debts, to her use and behoof forever 4.th I appoint and nominate my said Daughter Betsey ordan the Executrix of my Present will Given under my hand and Seal, after first it having been Read to me and approved In Chester Town Kent County in the aforesaid State of Maryland this Twentyeth day of September in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and Eighty four Signed Sealed and Delivered | Eliza.th Jordan {Seal} and Acknowledged to be the last| Will of M.rs Eliz.th Jordan, in the Presence of Robert Reid, Hue Duplisses, Edward Worrell Jun.r |
