   March 17.th 1789 Then came Edward Worrell Jun.r one of the Subscribing Witnesses
   to the within last Will and Testament of Elizabeth Jordan late of Kent County deced and
   made Oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God that he did see the Testator
   herein Named sign and Seal this Will and that he heard her Publish Pronounce
   and Declare the same to be her last Will and Testament that at the time of
   her so doing she was to the best of their Apprehensions of Sound and Disposing
   mind Memory and Understanding, and that Robert Reid and Hue Duplisis
   the other Two Subscribing Witnesses was Present at the same time and Signed
   their Names as Witnesses to this Will in the Presence and at the Request of the
   Testator and in the Presence of each other —   Before

   In the Name of God Amen, I John Webb of Kent County State
   of Maryland Farmer being weak in Body and approching to death, but Sound
   in mind and Memory blessed be the Lord, do make this my last Will and
   Testament~ first I allow all my Just debts to be paid and I allow to my Mother
   Mary Curlet during her Natural life Forty four Acres of that Land called
   Newton Resurveyed which was formerly left her by my Father Robert Webb
   and I also leve her one of my Rooms during her life ~ The Remainder of my
   Estate I allow to be Equally divided between my two Sons Benjamin and
   John, and at the Death of my Mother Curlet I desire that what I leave her may
   be divided also equally between my said two Sons — and I do hereby appoint
   James Armstrong of Kent County and State of Maryland aforesaid my only
   Executor of this my last Will and Testament, as Witness my hand and Seal
