   made oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God, that they did
   see the Testator therein named Sign and Seal this will, and that they
   heard him Publish Pronounce and declare the Same to be his last
   will and Testament, that at the Time of his so doing he was to the best
   of their Apprehensions of Sound and Disposing mind Memory
   and understanding, and that Joseph Parsons the other Subscribing
   witness was Present, and Signed his name as a witness to this will
   of the Testator, and in the Presence of each other —

   In the Name of God Amen I Sarah Gooding of Kent County In
   Maryland being in Good Health sound and Perfect memory blessed be to
   God doe by these Presents make Ordain and Declare this my last Will and
   Testament, after my Just Debts and Funeral Charges is paid —    —
   First I Will and Bequeath unto my Daughter Rebecca Benton One Negro
   Man Named Adam, and One Horse Called Brimstone —    —
   Secondly. I Will and Bequeath unto my Grand Daughter Milcha ~
   Gooding, (Daughter of Ann Gooding,| Forty Pounds to be Paid out of my
   Estate, and In Case she should Die before she comes to^theAge of Sixteen
   or not marry, then My Will is that it should be divided , between my
   Children that now living and their Heirs, Except Rachel Bird, and
   her Heirs who is not to Possess and Part —   —      ——
   Thirdly I Will and Bequeath unto my Son in Law John Berry One
   Negro Man Named Dick, and a Horse Called Bird Colt, and one Feather
   Bed ~ my Desire is that my said Son in Law John Berry shall
   keep the Legacies that I will to him for the Maintanceance of
   Rachel Bird Dureing her Life and in Case she should Die
