     In the Name of God Amen I John Whittington of Kent
    County and State of Maryland, being Sick and Weak in Body, but of
   sound mind, Memory and Understanding, do make and Publish this my
   last Will and Testament in Manner and form following ——— –
   First, of all, I Give and bequeath unto my three Sons, namely John Whittington
   Abraham Whittington, and James Whittington, and also unto my Daughters
   Hannah Whittington, the Sum of twenty^fivePounds, Gold and Silver Money —
   each — Also I Give and bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth Whitting=
  = ton, a Negro Girl^call’dPriscilla, about five years old ———    ——
   Also I give and bequeath unto my Loving Wife (after Payment of my –
   just Debts and Funeral Expences, and the above bequeathed Legacies)
   One third of my Personal Estate to her, her Heirs and Assigns. And
   also one third Part of my Real Estate, during her Natural life, and no
   longer. Also, I give and bequeath unto my five Children namely John
   Whittington, Abraham Whittington, James Whittington, Elizabeth —
   Whittington, and Hannah Whittington, and my Grand Daughter —
   Sarah Massy, all the remainder of my Personal Estate to be equally –
   divided between them Share and Share alike, But if my said Grand –
   Daughter should die without Lawful Issue begotten of her Body, or should
   my said Grand Daughter die leaving Lawful Issue begotten of her Body, -
   and they he or she, dying without Lawful Issue, Then I give and bequeath
   my said Grand Daughters share or part of my Personal Estate to the –
   Survivor, or Survivors of my above said two Daughters Elizabeth and Hannah
   to them their Heirs and Assigns respectively to be equally divided between
   them share and share alike — Also I give and bequeath unto my three
   Sons, namely John Whittington, Abraham Whittington, and James Whittington
   all that Tract or Parcel of Land, whereon I now dwell, called Honest —
   Dealing containing about four Hundred Acres, to be equally divided
   between them share and Share alike, but should either of my abovesaid
   Sons die without Lawful Issue, and having not disposed of their
