        In the Name of God Amen I Charles Tilden of Kent
   County in the State of Maryland being sick and weak of Body but of
   Sound and disposing mind memory and understanding and being —
   desirous to settle my worldly affairs and be thereby the better prepared
   to leave this World when it shall please God to call me hence—
   do therefore make and publish this my last Will and Testament
   in manner and form following that is to say ———    ———
   First – and Principally I commit my Soul into the Hands of —
    Almighty God and my Body to be decently buried at the discretion
   of my Executors herein after named and after my Debts and funeral
    Changes are paid I devise and bequeath as follows —————
     I give and devise to my dear Wife Jane the Quarter of a Lot which
      I bought of Mr. William Slubey and which he had purchased of
      Mrs. Martha Ward for and during the natural Life of my said Wife
      and after her decease to my Son Edward and his Heirs forever —
   Item And Whereas I have already got a Frame for a House which
        I intend as soon as I can fix and build into and for a H dwell=
        =ing House upon the above quarter of a Lot and to go with the same
        as above but as it may so happen that the same may not be done
        during my Life I do therefore if that should be the Case will and
        devise that my Executors herein after named or either of them —
        shall as soon after my death as may be cause the same to be Carried
        erected and put upon the said Lot or Quarter of a Lot of Ground
        and do and shall procure all and every other material whatsoever
        for the building making and finishing the same into a dwelling
        House for the use and benfit of my said Wife during her Life
        as aforesaid and that the said House be and shall remain —
        as belonging to the said Quarter of a Lot and as Appurtenance
        thereof and go with the same in manner as the said Lot
        is aforesaid devised and I do devise and will so much of
        my personal Estate as may be requisite and Needfull
        to carry the same into full Execution to be applied by my
        Executors or either of them to that purpose ——     —
