   In the Name of God Amen I Joseph Wickes of Kent
   County in the State of Maryland being sick and weak of Body —
   but of sound and perfect mind and Memory (Thanks be to God)
   do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in Manner
   and form Following                  I Give and Bequeath unto
   my Son Joseph all that Tract of land called Poplar Hill —
   resurveyed, with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging, to
   him and his heirs forever, but if my Son Joseph Should die without
   lawfull Issue, then the said land Call’d Poplar^Hillresurveyed, I Give –
   unto my two Daughters, to them and their Heirs forever ———
   I Give and Bequeath unto my Son Simon all my other lands of
   what Name or denomination soever to him and his Heirs for ever —
   I Give unto my Son Simon the Negroes hereafter Mentioned, Peter,
   Jem, Archer, Moll, Eve, Hannah, and John Molts Children —
   I Give unto my Daughter Ann Brown my whole right and Title
   to all the Negroes she has in possession and a Boy Named York,—
   and a Girl named Jene the Children of Grace —   ——   ——
   I Give unto my daughter Frances Wickes the Negroes hereafter Named
   Adam, little Tom, Will, Jonas, Clante, Dinah, Jean, and Blanch, Clants
   Child, and Daniel, dinahs Child, —   —   —    ——
   I Give unto my Son Joseph the Negroes hereafter named, Great,—
   Tom, Charles, Simon, Bess and her Child Nell, Grace and her Child
   Named Poll, and another Named Hett, — — - —————
   I Give unto my daughter Ann Brown two feather Beds with rea=
  =sonable furniture,— I Give unto my son Simon, one feather Bed—
   with reasonable furniture, and all the remainder of my Beds and——
   Furniture to be Equally divided between my daughter Frances —
   and my son Joseph — ——— I Give unto my son Simon all
   my Surveying Instruments, and my large Looking Glass which
   stands in the Hall, and my Silver watch, and one Sixth part
   of all my Stock of Horses, Cattle, sheep, and Hogs, and the remaining
   part of said Stock to be equally divided, Betwean my two ——
