144 | at a Court held for Northampton County the 17 day of June 1785. this Will was proved by the Oaths of Victor A Fullwell and Griffith Stith Witnesses thereto and ordered to be Recorded {seal} Test William Stith N C a Copy Test William Stith N.C Maryland Cæcil County fst. on the 17th day of February 1784 Mr Evert Everson appeared before me and made Oath that on the twenty first day of January last he happened at James Towlands where William Towlands Brother of said James lay at the Verge of Death the deponant beleiving that said William Towland had but a few days to live asked - him how he intended to dispose of this Worldly property or wether he did not intend his Brother James shod. have it, his answerwas^ o yes I do intend James and his Children shall have my property the deponant further declares that William Towland appeared – to be in his Sound and perfect Senses, and that said Towland expire next day John L Knight {seal} In the name of God Amen October the seventh thousand seven hundred and Eighty and four I James Wroth Senr. of the County of Kent in the State of Maryland being sick and Weak in Body but of sound disposing mind and memory praisebetherefore Almighty given to^ God, do make and ordain this my present last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say. First and principally I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my maker hoping through the meritorious death and pashion of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon ~ and forgiveness of all my Sins and to Inheritt Everlasting life. and my Body I commit to the Earth to be deasinty buryed at the discretion |
