142 In the name of God Amen I Margeret Findley being weak in body but of perfect mind and memory and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make & constitute this my last Will & Testament in the maner & form following to Wit first I give and bequeath to my Son William Munk one Shilling Sterling to be paid him if demanded by my Executor hereafter named – Secondly I give and bequeath to my grand Son James Mc.Keney one Shilling Sterling to be paid him if demanded by my Executor hereafter named . . . And thirdly I give and bequeath unto my grand Son William Mc.Kinney all my goods and Chattels remaining after paying the above legacies and my just debts and burial. And I do constitute & appoint my above named grand Son William Mc.Kinney my whole and Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament. September 22d. 1785 Then came Robert Reid and John Harly the two Subscribing Witnesses to the within last Will & Testament of ~ Margeret Findlay late of Kent County deceased & Severally made Oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God, that they did see the Testator herein named Sign and Seal this Will, and that they heard her publish pronounce and declare the same to be her last Will and Testament: that at the time of her so doing she was to the best of their apprehensions of Sound disposing mind memory & Understanding And that they these deponants Subscribed their names as Witnesses to this Will in the presence, and at the Request of the Testator, and in the presence of each other Before JNicholson Regr |
