   In the name of God Amen I John March of Kent County in
   the State of Maryland being sick and weak of Body but of Sound ~
   mind & memory, knowing the certainty of death and being desireous
   to setle my wordly affairs, do therefore make and publish this my –
   last Will and Testament in manner & form following that is to Say
   first and principally I commit my Soul to God, and my body to the
   Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors —
   herein after named —
   Item I give & devise to my daughters Mary a Negro boy called Will
   Item I give & bequeath to my daughter Araminta a Negro boy called
   Solomon, a feather Bed, and a Smal Cow. —
   Item my Will & desire is. and I hereby authorise & empower William
   Merritt and John Lamb both of Kent Countyin&theState of Maryland
   aforesaid or the Survivor of them to sell and dispose of all my Real
   Estate and personal Estate, not already devised, Immediately after
   my death or as soon as^itconveniently can be done. —
   Item I give & bequeath the money arising from the Sale of said
   Real Estate and personal Estate after payment of my Just debts &
   funeral Charges, to my eight children to Wit- my two Sons Peregrine
   and John and Six daughters Hannah Wife of William Berry, Elizabeth
   the Wife of John January, Sarah, Mary, Araminta & Ann to be equally
   divided among them by my Executors hereafter named, Except that
   my said Son Peregrine is to have two Shares. —
   Item my Will & desire is that the fifty pounds Current money I have
   [al]ready given to my dughters Elizabeth be deducted from her Share and
   [tha]t Thirty pounds for the Negro boy Will given to my daughter Mary
   [be] deducted from her the said Marys Share. —
   Item my desire and will is that my daughter Hannah Share be put to
   Iterest on bond with Security by my Executors, and that the Interest arising
   therefrom be paid to the said Hannah during the lifetime of her –
                for the Support of her Children, but if she shall happen to die before her
   Husband,^ then the principal and Interest to be equally divided among
   all her children, and also that my daughter Araminta’s Share be put to
   Interest on bond with Security by my Executors for the use of her the said Araminta
