   him publish pronounce and declare the same to be his last Will
   and Testament and that at the time of his so doing he was to the best
   of their Apprehensions of Sound disposing mind memory & Understand
   ing, And that William Woodall the other Subscribing Witness was
   present at the same time and Signed his name as Witness to –
   this Will, together with these deponants in the presence of the
   testator, and at his request, and in the presence of each other

    In the name of God Amen I Martha Ann Whichcote of Kent
   County in Maryland being Sick and weak but blessed be God of
   sound and well disposing memory calling to mind the uncertain
   estate of this transitory life, do make this my last Will & Testament
   as follows . . . . 1st. I give & bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth –
   Whichcote Six Silver table Spoons, one table & desk & half a dozen
   of Chairs, and a Mare called Careless & a Colt called Netle & riding chair
   besides an equal part of the Remainder of my Estate. —
   2d. I give to my daughter Sarah Whichcote one Negro Boy called Will
   with tea tongs Silver, five Silver tea Spoons Six chairs, two tables
   one Horse called Spark over & above an equal part of the Remainder
   of my Estate, . . 3dly, I give unto my Grand daughter Rebecca Whichcote
   one Negro boy called Ben, one bed & furniture, one horse called –
   Crack, over & above & besides an equal part of the remainder of my
   Estate . . 4thly, I give unto my afd daughter Elizabeth Whichcote
   my riding carriage over & above & besides an equal part of the
   Remainder of my Estate . . 5thly, I give the Remainder of my Estate
   after the Legacies paid to the Legaties to be^equallydivided between all my
   Children & Grand daughter Rebecca Whichcote, but not to enjoy any
   of my Slaves untill my afd daughter Sarah Whichcote & Grand ~
   daughter Rebecca Whichcote arrives to the age of Sixteen years, but
   remain in the hands of my Executrix hereafter named —
   I hereby Constitute & appoint my daughter Elizabeth Whichcote
