   Signed Sealed published and pronounced by the Testator to be his last
   Will and Testament in the presence of us. ——
   Test   William Little,   Abraham Whittington. ——
   April 4th. 1785 Then came William Little and Abraham Whittington two
   of the Subscribing Witnesses to the within last Will and Testament of David
   Speer late of Kent County deceased, and made Oath on the Holy Evangels ~
   of Almighty God that they did See the Testator herein named Sign &
   Seal this Will. and that they heard him publish pronounce & declare
   the same to be his last Will & Testament. and that at the time of his so
   doing he was to the best of their apprehensions of sound disposing —
   mind Memory and Understanding And that they Respectively Subscribed
   their names as Witnesses to this Will in the presence, and at the Request
   of the Testator, and in the presence of each other. ——

    In the name of God Amen I Richard Grace of Kent County in the State
   of Maryland being weak of Body but of a perfect Understanding & memory
   calling to mind the Mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed
   for all men once to die, do make ordain Constitute and ordain this
   my last Will and Testament. First I do give and Recommend my Soul to
   the living God who gave it. And as to my Body I commit it to the Earth to
   be buried in a good decent and Christian like manner at the discretion of my
   Executors; as to such Worldly goods or Estate as it hath pleased God to bless
   me with in this World. I do Will and direct them to be devised & disposed ~
   of in the following manner: first that my Will is that all my just debts –
   due to me be collected. and all debts due by me to others be justly & honestly
   paid. Item Secondly I do give and bequeath unto my well beloved Nephew.~
   Richard Lowman son to Richard and Mary Ann Lowman of the said ~
   County of Kent the whole of my Estate or property that I am already —
   possessed off as well as all Lands, Wages, Rewards, or any other Consideration
   that I am entitled to or may be Considered to be entitled to as Rewards for ~
   my Services as an Officer in the Continental Armie of the United States of
   America to the only and Sole use of him his heirs or Assigns for ever —
