    In the name of God Amen I Samuel Smith of Kent Coty –
   in the State of Maryland being Sick and weak in Body but thanks
   to God of sound disposing sense and Memory. do make & ordain
   this to be my last Will and Testament in manner & form following
   First I give & bequeath unto my Son Samuel Smith all that parcel
   of Land called Holy Land that I purchased of John Smith to him
   and his heirs for ever and if in case my^sdson Samuel Smith —
   should die without^lawfullIsue then I give and bequeath the afd Land ~
   to my Son Darius Smith to him & his heirs for ever. And I give
   and bequeath unto my said Son Samuel Smith my Negro Girl –
   called Sall and all my plank, and fifteen pounds Specie —
   Secondly I give and bequeath unto my son Darius Smith my^Negroe~
   Girl called Bett & fiftyn pound Specie ~
   3d. I appoint Hynson Smith whole & Sole Executor of this my last
   Will & Testament Revoaking and disannulling all other Will or
   Wills by me heretofore made, As Witness my hand & Seal this
   8 day January 1785.                           Samuel Smyth {seal}
   Signed Sealed and Acknowledged by the within^namedSamuel Smyth
   this to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of us. —
   William Glanvill, Benjamin Worrell, Morgan Hurtt. ——
   March.17th.1785 Then came William Glanvill one of the Subscribing
   Witneses to the within last Will & Testament of Samuel Smyth late
   of Kent County deceased, and made Oath on the holy Evangels of
   Almighty God, that he did See the Testator herein named named
   Sign and Seal this Will, and that he heard him Publish Pronounce
   and declare the same to be his last Will & Testament, and that at
   the time of his so doing, he was to the best of his Apprehension of
   of Sound disposing mind, memory, and Understanding, and that
   he this deponant together with Benjamin Worrell & Morgan Hurtt
   the other two Subscribing Witnesses within named, Subscribed their
   names as Witnesses to this Will, in the presence, and at the Request
   of the Testator, and in the Presence of each other ——
