   In the name of God Amen I Hannah Reed of Kent County &
   State of Maryland living in alow and week State of health, but of
   Sound mind and memory thanks be to Almighty God, and calling
   to mind the uncertainty of this life, do make and ordain this
   to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following ~
   First and principally I recommend my Soul to God who gave it, trusting
   through the merrits of my Blessed Redeamer to receive forgiveness for all
   my Sins, and as touching what Worldly Estate it hath pleased God to –
   Bless me with after my funeral Charges and Just debts are paid –
   I give and dispose of it in manner and form following to Wit —
   First I give and bequeath to my Daughter Rutha Reed a Negro Boy
   called Jacob, and a Negro Girl called Venus and one Horse called –
   Tom.   I then give and bequeath to my Daughter Milcah Reed ~
   one Gray Horse and one Walnut Table:~ I then give & bequeath to
   my Daughter Sinah Reed one black Mare, one dressing Glass, and
   one set of China. ~ I then give and bequeath to my Son John Reed ~
                                                                parts parcel or parcels
   one Heifer two years old and no other part^ of my Estate whatsoever —
   all the Remaing part of my Estate except the legacys above Written ~
   I give to my three Daughters Namely Rutha Reed, Milcah Reed ~
   and Sinah Reed to be equally divided amongst my Son Philip Reed ~
   to be Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, And also ~
   to be Sole Executor of the last Will and Testament of my Son Samuel
   Reed (deceased) by whom I was appointed Executrix to his the said
   Reeds last Will and Testament. I Witness whereof I have hereunto
   set my hand and Seal this tenth day of February 1785. —
