AN ACT concerning

Real Estate Licensee - Continuing Education

FOR the purpose of granting the Real Estate Commission
discretion in requiring subjects for continuing
education instruction; and generally relating to the
subjects of continuing education instruction of
licensees.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 56 - Licenses

Section 217(f)(2)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 56 - Licenses

217.

(f) (2) A licensee shall complete 12 clock hours of
approved continuing education instruction covering REAL
ESTATE SUBJECT MATTER AS APPROVED BY THE REAL ESTATE
COMMISSION OR the subject of real estate law, [to include]
WHICH INCLUDES those laws as enacted by the Congress of the
United States, the Maryland General Assembly, and the
governing bodies of the local subdivisions as well as real
estate rules and regulations as promulgated by the
administrative and regulatory agencies of the federal,
State, and local governments.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.
