THE ATTORNEY FOR THE BOARD . The County Commissioners shall
also provide for the necessary expenses of the board, as
determined by the board.

(j-1) [In] FROM AND AFTER JUNE 1, 1979, IN St.
Mary's County the board shall appoint a clerk to the board
at a salary [of] not to exceed [$2,400] $4,000 per annum,
who TO BE SET BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS. THE CLERK shall
have such duties as the board shall assign to him. The
Board of County Commissioners of the county shall assign
such other clerical assistants to the board as it may need
to carry out its duties. The duties of inspection under the
alcoholic beverage laws in the county shall be performed by
the office of county inspector under the direction of the
alcoholic beverage board of the county.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect May 15, 1979.

AN ACT concerning

Frederick County - Roads and Public Grounds

FOR the purpose of changing the membership of the Roads
Board; providing that the members will serve without
salary; altering the number of meetings of the Board;
deleting any reference to the attorney for the Roads
Board; repealing the authority of the Roads Board to
enter into contracts; deleting other powers and
procedures of the Roads Board; and clarifying language.
